"Classic Lo" Waxed Canvas
Designed to be carried
Our signature “Classic Lo”-waxed canvas is woven and finished in Okayama, Japan, a region renowned for generations of textile craftsmanship.
Unlike many traditional waxed canvases, it has a remarkably dry, natural hand feel and is completely free from the unpleasant odor commonly associated with waxed canvas. It is lightweight, extremely durable and highly water resistant, making it comfortable for everyday use in every season.
As it is carried and enjoyed, the canvas develops a rich patina through gentle creases and subtle changes in texture—making every bag uniquely its own.
Vegetable Tanned Leather
It begins its story
We choose Japanese vegetable-tanned cowhide because it reflects everything we value: honesty, durability, and beauty that grows with time.
Slowly tanned using natural mimosa tannins, the leather begins with a firm structure before gradually softening through years of use. Sunlight, touch, and everyday life deepen its color and reveal a rich patina unique to every owner.
Rather than hiding the natural character of the hide, we celebrate it. Every grain, wrinkle, and subtle marking tells the story of a genuine material.
Japanese Solid Brass
Japanese hardwares
We use solid brass hardware made in Japan for its strength, durability, and timeless character. Rather than wearing away, solid brass develops a rich patina over time, complementing the natural aging of our vegetable-tanned leather. Every scratch and subtle change in color becomes part of the bag's story.
Japanese Finest Zipper
YKK EXCELLA®
We choose YKK EXCELLA® zippers—widely regarded as one of the finest metal zippers made in Japan. Each zipper tooth is individually polished before assembly, creating an exceptionally smooth feel that only becomes more satisfying with years of use.
